Using Agricultural Mixed Waste as a Sustainable Technique for Removing Stable Isotopes and Radioisotopes from the Aquatic Environment

In the current study, dried ground mixed waste of olive and water hyacinth was subjected to treatment wastewater contaminated with stable or radioactive cobalt cesium. Contact time, temperature, amount adsorbent, metal ion concentration pH-value were evaluated as most potent factors that affect adsorption process. Concentrations Co Cs ions before after are measured using ICP-OES technique. Moreover, kinetic equilibrium isotherm parameters investigated by explaining data induction two isotherms, “Langmuir” “Freundlich”. Experimental results indicated more than 85% 60Co 134Cs efficiently removed from spiked one hour contact time 0.2 g waste. The optimal remove Cs+ Co2+ 50 90 min, respectively. study showed better suited second order. favorable pH value at a range 6–7 for 5–6 Co2+. R2 values higher Freundlich isotherm, indicating process taking place according all temperatures ions.
